We all have envisioned what we wanted in our lives; we all have dreamed about owning a mansion, being a millionaire etc. The illusion we set ourselves to live up to isn’t necessarily what our reality looks like. This is the same story when it comes your body composition results. We are the way we are because of the choices we make. When someone embarks on their health and fitness journey they have the image that they want to achieve. But let’s be real; if you want to achieve that magical image you see in the back of your mind you need to put in the hard work.
Discipline, determination, and commitment are the characteristics that will either make or break someone’s results. If you are the person who wants to skip certain things and only put in half the work, then reality is you will only get half the results. If you are not disciplined with yourself and not take the necessary steps in between, then you are doing nothing different than when you first started this journey.
When you truly want to achieve something, you don’t take the easy way out. You don’t look for the loop hole, you simply do what is necessary in order for your results to flourish. The level of discipline you put into a job will determine whether you are in it for the long run or simply jumping on the bandwagon to say you are going to make change and don’t actually do anything different.
In life, we don’t want to sacrifice but if you really want to show off your transformation then the principle is simply; you need to give a little to get a lot back. Now I’m not saying you need to give up everything. I’m referring to small things like your fizzy drinks, those never-ending snacks etc. If you are truly determined to change your life around you won’t procrastinate and keep telling yourself that you are going to do ‘abc’. You will just do it. Actions speak louder than words.
If you want real results that won’t reverse the moment you run out of ‘low-carb’ products, show the world how determined you are to make a difference. Be determined to stick to a weekly training routine, be determined to maintain your eating habits and be determined to put pen to paper to start making a real difference! The level of discipline, determination and commitment will outshine you if you really set yourself up for the win.
If you want to keep on living in the illusion you set years ago then go ahead, I can’t stop you. I can’t make all of your choices and decisions for you, but just remember that moment when you wake up and smell the roses, you want to have something to be proud, you don’t want to live life with any regrets. My question to you is, why don’t you make your illusions reality. Each and every one of us have the power to change, but you must believe in yourself and actually do what is necessary. When you look at anyone who has made huge changes in their lives, when you look at anyone’s transformation story, they acknowledge that they needed to change their mindset and action, in order for them to make the physical changes.
Never doubt your abilities. Never lower your expectations. Work your butt off to get what you want. Utilize any and all resources around you and don’t be afraid to ask for help! If you truly want to make change and achieve your goals, then do what you need to do. When anyone embarks on a health and fitness journey, it is the choices they make that will determine the way their results are achieved, if at all.
