People who are consistent with their commitments tend to create long lasting, sustainable good habits that become a part of them. Choose 1 thing that you would like to start doing in your life that will help you move forward in your goals, then spend half an hour each day working on the one thing. If your goal is to lose weight you might spend half an hour reading up on nutrition (check out my book for a great place to start), might be spending half an hour preparing meals for the next day, or spending half an hour doing an exercise routine, or anything else that you can think of that will help with this goal.
Resilience, persistence, and patience are the keys to success. Don’t give up when things get tough. Be kind to yourself and be patient. It will happen if you just keep doing it day in day out.
THOUGHT: When you wake up in the morning, you have 2 choices; wake up with a smile or wake up with frown. Waking up with a smile is much more fun and sets you up for a better day ahead. So whilst lying in bed, as soon as you wake up, give yourself a HUGE smile, and say “Good morning world, I’m still here!”
