What was your life like before you started training? (please specify details about your life style, self esteem, fitness level, strength, size etc)
My life before I started training was tough I put a smile on my face for others to see but it was a mask hiding the sadness of how I felt about myself. My fitness levels were poor for someone who was very fit. At the start I was puffy after only a few exercises and I think I was the first of Terrific Fitness clients to have a spew (not a proud moment). I was a pretty weak person too. I had so much trouble just doing the simple things in life like carrying a basket of washing. My dress size back then was a size 16 and now I wear comfortable size 12 clothes. I even fit into a size 10 work jacket for the first time ever!
What was it that lead to you deciding to look for a Personal Trainer?
I always wanted a P.T. but thought it was out of reach. I was on maternity leave and didn’t think I could afford it, thinking I would have to join a gym and pay a P.T. Until I noticed my neighbor who had shrunk incredibly and noticed that she was going to Terrific Fitness and I thought it must have been a sign so I contacted Terri from Terrific Fitness.
How much work did you start off putting into your training? What about currently?
I started out training 2-3 times a week and currently still am, I love it so much!
Did you change your eating habits and if so how?
My eating habits changed considerably. Foods that I thought were ok weren’t. Terrific Fitness taught me right from wrong and biggest change was from white bread to wholemeal.
How long have you been training with Terrific Fitness?
I have been training with Terrific Fitness now for seven months and can’t see myself stopping!
How exactly is your life different today compared to the day you started training?
It’s hard looking back and comparing my life to what it once was. I didn’t think I deserved a promotion at work, I didn’t enjoy running around with my boys. But now I have a whole new lease on life. I got a promotion that I really did deserve and can’t get enough of playing with my sons. We are at parks a lot more now than before.
How do you feel about yourself today?
The way I feel about myself today than I did seven months ago, is proud! Happy! And very confident, oh and sexier(hehe)!!!
What really gets you out of your comfy lounge to attend training?
The training itself, I love it, and if I had more time in my life I would train more! I crave training and on training days I get excited!
What would you say to someone thinking of getting started with Terrific Fitness?
Don’t think about starting about starting training with Terrific Fitness just do it as you won’t regret it! One of the best things I’ve ever done for myself!!!
