Carina joined our 28 Day Kick Start Challenge diving head first into the rest of her life! Since day she has asked questions, worked with all of our coaches, soaking information up left, right and centre, on how to improve herself in every way. She has been the perfect student!
A majority of Carina’s progress has occurred during iso 2.0 here in Melbourne, as we were only open for a week and a half before being forced into lock down again.
That hasn’t stopped our clients from kicking butt though!
The changes in Carina’s physical, emotional and mental well-being over the last 2 months are phenomenal. She has completely evolved, unleashing the best version of herself.
Some of the things that have contributed to Carina’s success include:
- Having an initial Structural Balance and Movement analysis upon joining. This enabled us to know exactly how to train Carina within any limitation and what mobility improvements we need to coach her through, to improve her training and functional movement.
- Goal setting consult, to create a plan
- Group fitness training initially face to face then via zoom and our training app
- Nutrition Coaching one on one
- Regular check-ins and support
- Mindset Coaching
Congratulations on a fantastic 8 weeks hun! I am ridiculously proud of you and can’t wait to see what else your journey brings! Thank you for trusting us. It is a true honor to work with you! – Coach Terri
Here is Carina’s story in her words:
“My friend Christina told me about TF; not until I saw her in person and saw how awesome she looked did I consider it. Also, her video testimonial had me actually sign up, when I saw her AB’s I was sold!
I had hit rock bottom, I weighed 100.3kgs and it scared me. When I walked around the house, I could hear myself huffing and puffing around. I had tried EVERYTHING to lose weight. TF was my last resort.
What keeps me at TF first and foremost is the way I feel. I don’t remember feeling this clear in the head and I couldn’t remember a time when I wasn’t tired. Second is the community, the loveliest bunch of people. Not once have I ever felt judged.
One of the biggest lessons I have learned was that something was causing inflammation in my body, and it was trying to fight and repair that. Hence why it’s been so hard to lose weight all these years.
Lesson two would have to be that when you work out, not to accept anything that hurts you, not in terms of muscle burn but for example if sit ups hurt my neck and give me a migraine then find an alternative. I have in the past always pushed past and always injured myself.
Lesson three I’ve been able to learn to tune into my body’s queues more. Why is it doing this? I’ve always been pretty self-aware but now I feel like I’ve got ninja skills.
(When asked ‘what challenges have you overcome?) My mental mind shift, Terri (and the other coaches too) have a way of helping you think of things differently. The realisation that I will always have to parent myself, and even if I don’t feel like exercising, I have the discipline to do so because it’s what’s required for me to reach my goals.
I did Nutrition coaching with Terri as I had major issues with my menstrual cycle. All of those woes have now gone, and I feel confident it’ll only get better. I NEVER in a million years thought that I would be able to complete bootcamp as thoroughly as I did.
I didn’t know I’d been walking around in a fog for as long as I had. I feel fantastic. And I’m never tired during the day. It was something that had been debilitating my life. Every time I got tired; I got a migraine. All of that has gone!
Terri and her trainers have a way of being able to adjust any workout to assist any injuries, which makes me feel safe and confident to train with them. Also without making you feel like a failure. The modifications can be just as challenging, but you aren’t putting unnecessary stress on your body. This allows me to train more often therefore I can reach my goals quicker than I ever have before.
I was talking to Danni last night and as I said to her, I can’t imagine a life without TF. It’s the hardest thing to explain but if you have the privilege of being a member and diving in headfirst you’ll know what I mean. I hate calling it a gym it isn’t just that. It’s a wellness centre where they heal you from the inside out. I wasn’t coping with life before TF, the smallest things were too hard. Now I feel like I’m excelling. FOREVER grateful.” – Carina Jakovleski
