June’s Profile of the Month is our beautiful, super hard working Jess Evans. Jess joined us in August 2018, 4 kids in tow, head down, super shy. Every ounce she lacked in confidence she made up for in determination, focus and commitment. She turns up to training with her awesome kids, week in week out, never complaining or making excuses, just getting the job done. If she has any negative talk going on in her head, you would never know it! Always smiling and willing to give anything a go, she trains like an absolute machine! When Jess puts her mind to something, there is nothing that’s going to stop her. What a friggen awesome role model for her kids!
Jess has lost a total of 26cm from around her body. She has dropped 2 levels in her visceral fat and 3.6% body fat.
She can now perform push ups on the floor on her toes, can push 115kg on the Prowler and is lifting weights she never dreamed of when she first started!
Her confidence level has skyrocketed, with her quirky personality really shining through her shyness now.
Jess, you are an absolute power house! Coaches Theo, Emilia and I are so ridiculously proud of you, words can’t do it justice! An inspiration to everyone around you, you have proven that where there is a will there is a way! Four kids and all! It is not an easy thing to achieve when you are the primary carer of four and have only yourself to rely on. But you have managed to kick butt and do so with a smile! Your strength and tenacity is a force to be reckoned with! Keep up the extraordinary work my love!!!

Here’s Jess’ story in her words:
“[Life before started at TF] I was very unmotivated, I’d workout for a day or two and then give up. I was unfit, unhealthy and an emotional eater.
I was tired of how I felt and how I looked, my clothes were starting to get right and I didn’t want to go shopping and have to go up a size.
I choose terrific fitness as they are the only gym in the area that allows me to take the kids to training with me.
I started on 2 classes a week and still doing the same now with the occasional 3rd class.
I’ve changed some of my eating habits but I know I still have a lot of work to do to improve my nutrition.
I joined terrific fitness in August of last year.
[When asked “How exactly is your life different today compared to the day you started training with TF?”] I do more incidental exercise, playing ball sports with the children at work rather than standing back and watching. Recently while on holidays I got up at 1am to hike a volcano, something I would never have thought to do 6 months ago.
I’m feeling much more confident which means I’m willing to step out of my comfort zone and try new things.
