Jess is a training machine hitting goals left, right and centre. From training alongside Jess on the floor to having the privilege of coaching her, I have watched her grow out on the training floor and be more confident in herself and her own abilities. Jess you have found your home in DB Strong-U. Your technique as well as your determination and perseverance is next to none. To watch your strength grow, your progression of exercises as well as your PB’s being beaten, puts a grin on every coach’s face. These past two years in lockdown you have been dedicated through the likes of zoom and eventually the reintroduction of training back in the studio, not to mention the battle of completing VCE through unprecedented times. You are a role model that anything can happen if you just put your mind to it! Here’s to you, all your hard work and never giving up on yourself even when times get tough!

I have had the honour of training Jess’ mum for many years now, so I have watched Jess grow from a little girl into a strong, disciplined young woman. She has come so far from when she first started with TF 2 years ago. Today Jess is fitter and stronger and has really found her groove in DB Strong-U, a strength based class with Coach Jamie. “I came about joining TF because after I stopped dancing I still wanted a way to be active and maintain my health, and my mother was a member at TF and she highly recommended that I join.
I joined TF because I wanted to find a way to stay active and really focus on my health and improve my fitness. I’m still at TF because of how supportive and encouraging all the coaches are, the way they care for each and every one of their clients and how they always push me to do my very best.
Since joining TF I feel stronger than I ever have before and I just recently achieved a personal best in the prowler push.
During covid and our many lockdowns I was really struggling with my mental health. I found it hard to stay on top of my schoolwork and I lacked motivation to do anything. I did Zoom classes but at times I went months without training, without getting out of my bed but once lockdown ended and we were able to come back to the gym the atmosphere and everyone’s enthusiasm and encouragement really helped me to remember to focus on myself and my health. I have now successfully finished year 12 and am training almost every day of the week.
I love how much more confident I am about myself and how much more I value myself and my body. I also love how much more motivated I am to keep growing stronger, not giving up and truly doing my best every single day.
