Claire joined us not too long ago with her lovely daughter Eliza looking to get ‘out of a slump’ and moving again that suited the mother daughter duo. Upon initial participation In classes Claires movement was greatly restricted ac combination of both stiffness and aches and pains, simple movements of bending down, squatting and twisting were difficult for Claire. After joining a couple of classes Claire was quick to realise we were always ready to help. From giving options to reduce pain, checking in to see if she needs anything and most of all pushing her to try things out of her comfort zone, we were there to help leading Claire to put her trust into us with her training, Fast forward a few weeks Claire’s movement has beyond improved meaning her progression was able to go further. From the lady who could barely squat without knee pain to performing single leg deadlifts. From the lady who was timid around performing any activity beyond bodyweight to lifting 6kg dumnbells, this incredible woman has come so far not just physically but mentally as well. When Claire first walked in the door she was quiet and timid, now Claire walks in with a smile and enthusiasm ready to try anything, Claire has a greater range of motion, greater strength physically and mentally and has made incredible change to her lifestyle for her health to be the best version of herself. We are incredibly proud of how far you have come Claire, keep smashing it!

“Eliza and I were in a bit of a slump and I rang around to see a Gym that I thought would suit us both. I love the exercise and the coaching, support, encouragement and care, is just what we both needed.
I feel better within myself and more enthusiastic about life.
I think my challenge is more a mental thing and I now push myself not only at the Gym but everyday life.
I like having something in common with my kids and husband. I’ve aways been on the sidelines and now I feel like a participant. My 3 sons who are Gus 22, Blake 28 & Daniel 31 are proud of what I am doing and encourage me all the way.
My training is basically the Gym sessions and I try and fit a couple of quick walks in. I have gone decaf, no soft drinks only special occasions. Drinking more water. Having a banana, psyllium husk oats drink for breakfast. I have still got a long way to go but I have made changes.
I sent my three boys a photo of me pushing the prowler and said ‘See Mummy’s not out having coffee.😀
Alex Vavala told me how wonderful your gym is and I partnered Alex at Gym one night and she was an inspiration & makes me strive harder.
I want to thank Eliza, my daughter. I know I would not have joined if I was by myself, it’s something we can do together and enjoy. A big thanks to my husband for his encouragement and after 34 years, is cooking dinner on Gym nights.
