The last few months Viki has shared with us, her story week to week. Here is the next part.
“Life was going well, and I had my 3-month check-up, and I was a lot stronger and praying I could get cleared to drive and start some sort of training. So, all that happened but I was not happy with what exercise I could do. Cardio training only, which was running, and bike riding. I would rather stick needles in my eyes. Running was out of the question for me, so I called a friend and went to my first Spin class which I enjoyed. This became my new passion until I could get back to the studio and train with all the people I loved. Days and weeks passed. I was really enjoying Spin classes and l was attending 4 classes a week. But deep down inside I was missing something. I was not feeling the satisfaction I did when I would do PT or a great class at Terrific Fitness with all my work out buddies. My one year check up came and everything went great. I had healed and there were no traces of scarring; one of my arteries had been severed when I had my stroke. Moving forward I was able to go back to classes and do body weight training. PT was still on the back burner for now but at least I was able to get back to what I love doing and the place I consider to be my second home.”
