The last few months Viki has shared with us, her story week to week. Here is the next part.
“Fast forward a few weeks things were good and I was feeling much better, and it was time for me to have my MRI. I was happy and confident about it today, so walking into my doctor’s office I was feeling positive and ready for what I was going to hear. Great news all was well, and it was stable, and things were looking much better; less fluid and the brain looked all good. I was one happy lady, and it was music to my ears. Breaking the news to the family I was so happy, and everyone was relieved.
This was another thing I had overcome, and I was not going to let anything get in my way. I continued with my training and things were going well, or so I thought. Over time I started to wake up with very sore arms and severe pins and needles, which got to the point that I was in so much pain I ended back into hospital and waiting on my specialist to see me. I did not see myself here again. Anyone who knows me, knows my pain threshold is extremely high. For me to be back in hospital I was in extreme pain and very scared. Mentally I went back into that dark corner and my brain went into overdrive!!”
