The last few months Viki has shared with us, her story week to week. Here is the next part.
“I started to hear voices and I could see smiles on the doctors faces.
‘Viki everything is great, no surgery needed.’ This was music to my ears. I could breathe now, and I did not have to go through any surgery. I still needed a little more Chemo, but I was ok with that if things were looking good, I could live with that.
Heading home I was so happy, even with what was happening around us with covid, it was still the best day, and I was going to enjoy every minute of it. Telling the family was amazing and to be honest, not having to shave half my head of hair was awesome too. For those who know me, that is a big part of me.
I got the best hugs from my little man and the relief on everyone’s faces was amazing. Chemo continued and I was doing great, I had gotten the hang of balancing remote learning and enjoying this time I had with my kids at home. As hard as some days were nothing beat being home and spending quality time with my boys.”
